We have two options for a locking 5/8" locking pin and both are keyed unique. Which means you won't get to select which key you get and can't get multiple locks that work with the same key. Yes, you do need a hitch pin and clip like the Pin and Clip, # PC3, or a lock like the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, # e98880, to keep it in the hitch. You do not need both of them.

I may have a solution for you to have all of your locks keyed alike, but you won't be able to do this using a Master Lock Padlock like the # ML312KA and the Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock for etrailer Cargo Carriers - Keyed Alike # e99047.
